Chelsea look to continue their great start to the new Premier League season away to Sunderland. Chelsea looked like dropping points at home to Hull but did the famous Chelsea trick by scoring in injury time. Sunderland also got off to a great start by beating Bolton away. It will be a much tougher task for Sunderland tonight though, when they face Chelsea.

There is only one thing that could be scarier for Sunderland than being 2 points above the relegation zone and hosting Chelsea in the final game of the season. That would be being IN the relegation zone and facing Chelsea in the last game. Yes the odds are stacked against them winning this game, or even getting a draw. Especially with Newcastle playing a struggling Villa team and Hull playing an under strength Manchester side. Personally I think Sunderland will come out of today ok, most probably at the expense of their North East rivals.

There is not much at stake today for Manchester City and Bolton. Although both teams will want to please their fans and both teams have the possibility of climbing a place with a win – which would give them a little extra prize money. Manchester City have the funds to go on to greater things next season and I have great faith in their manager, Mark Hughes. With Bolton it’s a case of mission accomplished and they can look forward to another season in the English Premier League.

Even if Hull get beat, they can survive providing the teams below them don’t get a better result. Manchester United are to send out an under strength due to already being crowned champions. This has caused upset amongst North East clubs involved in the relegation battle. However, the Manchester United reserve team has such quality that they are capable of beating a struggling Hull City.
